UPDATED – changes to Personal Development for Employability qualifications

Personal_Development_for_Employability_Qualifications HABC has made changes to a selection of optional units contained within our Personal Development for Employability qualifications to ensure they continue to meet learner needs and remain compliant with QCF criteria.

The changes, implemented from 1 August 2014, affect the following qualifications:

  • HABC Level 1 Award in Personal Development for Employability (QCF);
  • HABC Level 1 Certificate in Personal Development for Employability (QCF);
  • HABC Level 1 Diploma in Personal Development for Employability (QCF);
  • HABC Level 2 Award in Personal Development for Employability (QCF);
  • HABC Level 2 Certificate in Personal Development for Employability (QCF); and
  • HABC Level 2 Diploma in Personal Development for Employability (QCF).

If any of your learners are registered on units that were only available until 31 July 2014, you will have a maximum of 12 months from this date to complete the programme and apply for certification.

Updates to our employability qualifications

Personal_Development_for_Employability_Qualifications We’ve recently made some changes to our Personal Development for Employability qualifications to make sure they continue meet the needs of learners.

HABC regularly conducts reviews of all its qualifications to ensure they are fit for purpose, aid learner understanding and achievement, and are compliant with the QCF , giving you and your learners peace of mind.

The changes cover a selection of optional units contained in a number of qualifications, including:

• HABC Level 1 Award in Personal Development for Employability (QCF);
• HABC Level 1 Certificate in Personal Development for Employability (QCF);
• HABC Level 1 Diploma in Personal Development for Employability (QCF);
• HABC Level 2 Award in Personal Development for Employability (QCF);
• HABC Level 2 Certificate in Personal Development for Employability (QCF); and
• HABC Level 2 Diploma in Personal Development for Employability (QCF).

The units identified above will be available until 31 July 2014, with the replacement units made available for registrations from 1 August 2014.

For learners registered the units available until 31 July 2014, Centres will have a maximum of 12 months to complete the programme and apply for certification.

Updated employability kits now available

lv1-ekit-on lv2-ekit-on We’ve updated our Employability-kits with a number of improved and wide-ranging employment-based scenarios and activities that will support and enhance your learners’ understanding and achievement.

The changes – which relate to the mandatory units for each kit including Self-assessment for Level 1 kit and Self-management Skills for our Level 2 kit – will give learners the knowledge that employers are increasingly looking for in new recruits.

Based on the delivery model being undertaken, it will also be possible to add additional units to either the level 1 or level 2 Employability-kits, further aiding learner engagement.
