eResponse’s £55k charity drive for disabled girl

eResponse logo Midlands training and recruitment business eResponse will be holding a number of fundraising events this year and next to help improve the quality of life of a girl born without eyes.

The Rugby-based organisation, which is a HABC Approved Centre, is committed to raising £55,000 to support eight-year-old Mia Williams with equipment and alterations to her home.

Mia suffers from cerebral palsy and epilepsy, and needs to be carried and helped around her home by parents Fran and Dean Williams – who is a manager at eResponse’s Rugby branch.

Amongst the events the firm has planned are a charity ball in 2016, cycle rides, marathons, car washes and a summer fete. The money raised will go towards a specially-fitted bath for Mia, as well as various pieces of equipment and changes to the layout of the family’s home.

eResponse Managing Director Paul Alekna said, ‘We support a variety of charities every year but now we have decided to channel everything into helping Mia. She has a variety of conditions that means she needs extra support. We want to help an amazing little girl and her equally amazing family, and will do all we can to hit that goal as quickly as possible’.

Highfield has also been raising money to help blind children through VICTA , with a series of events and activities including a Sky Dive planned for July and staff recently completing Virgin Money London Marathon .

eResponse joins winning team with football initiative

eResponse logo eResponse has teamed up with Doncaster Rovers Football Club to help unemployed locals get back on their feet.

The partnership, part of an initiative called Club Doncaster Foundation , will see 600 training places made available to unemployed people in the Doncaster region by eResponse, which is a HABC Approved Centre .

Club Doncaster Foundation The Club Doncaster Foundation is a not-for-profit, self-funding registered charity and community organisation. Since becoming a registered charity and reforming as a sports and education foundation, Club Doncaster has worked alongside several partners to focus on sports participation, disability sport and inclusion, health and wellbeing, education and social inclusion in the borough.

Paul Alekna, Managing Director at eResponse, said, ‘Club Doncaster is very well integrated with the local community and its achievements are impressive. We are very proud of our association and look forward to developing our partnership over the years to come’.

Customer focus – eResponse celebrates successful 12 months

Earlier this year, the Midlands based provider achieved the much sought-after Matrix Standard – the training provider equivalent of a glowing Ofsted report – for its information, advice and guidance to employed and unemployed people and potential recruiters.

Picture by Shaun Fellows / Shine Pix The accolade rounded off a fruitful 12 months for eResponse after it also gained a place in the Sunday Times ’ prestigious Fast Track 100 , and was awarded the ‘Growth Business of the Year for 2013’ title by the Chamber of Commerce.

And in January 2014, Karren Brady CBE was the VIP guest as the award-winning recruitment and workforce specialist launched its new training academy network, delivering a 40-minute speech alongside eResponse MD Paul Alekna in front of almost 200 guests at Worcester’s Sixways Stadium.
